Marble Looks Back
Interactive XR
Marble Looks Back is an interactive XR installation wherein a participant visits Marble, a projected hologram of a game character. Marble, who is puppeteered by an actor in VR, engages with the participant in an existential conversation about the awkwardness of interacting through a projection screen.
About Marble Looks Back
The installation explores questions on the nature of the physical world versus cyberspace. Furthermore it plays with the possibility of both the game character and the participant secretly wanting to live in each other's world.
Outcome of the experiment
Marble Looks Back explored how intimacy and loss unfold between physical and digital beings. The project tested XR as a low-threshold space for artistic makers—laying ground for future research into presence and virtual connection. The responses from visitors confirmed the emotional depth and relevance of the work.

About the Technology
It's a project focused on exploring digital tools for emerging theatre makers such as XR technology. Marble Looks Back utilizes a variety of obtainable technologies like rear projection, live streaming, and VR characters, showcasing innovative ways for theatre makers to incorporate XR into their productions.
Audience Interaction
Marble connects with the participant through conversations, interactions and touch in an existential conversation about the question of whether there can ever be an intimate relationship between a game character and physical person. Marble ask whether they and the participant can be together, even though they live in different dimension and so much technology stand between them.
